What is DSP?

Delta Sigma Pi, otherwise known as DSP or Deltasig, is a Co-Ed Professional Business Fraternity that aims to empower business students. Members of DSP are high-achieving individuals who value professional development, academic success, and social advancement.

Alpha Epsilon (AE) is the University of Minnesota's DSP chapter, and we are a fun, adventurous, hard-working set of business students focused on promoting brotherhood, professionalism, community service, leadership, and DEI efforts

What are the accepted majors/minors for Delta Sigma Pi?

All business and economic-related majors or minors are accepted by the International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi. If you are unsure of whether or not you major/minor qualifies, just ask!

What do I I have to do if I wanna go through recruitment?

Accepted Answer

Come to our recruitment events! We recruit twice a year, at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. Our Recruitment page in the menu has more detailed information about applications and scheduling.

You can also find our posters around The Carlson School of Management. We are currently recruiting for the Fall 2024 semester, and applications are open from September 9th - September 17th!

How does the recruitment process work?

Our recruitment process consists of multiple events throughout 2 weeks of recruitment during the fall and spring semesters. We recommend students attend multiple recruitment events to get to know our chapter and see if you are a good fit within our community!

Once your application is submitted you will be invited to sign up for an interview. After your interview, you will receive further information regarding your admittance into our pledge program. We highly encourage anyone interested in DSP to take part in our recruitment week!

How much time does recruitment take?

Recruitment takes up as much time as you allow. Members of DSP would love to see you at as many of our recruitment events as possible. The more opportunities we have to get to know you, and the more opportunities you have to get to know us, the better!

What is the difference between DSP and AKPsi?

Come to our Delta Sigma Pi & Alpha Kappa Psi Information Session, taking place early during recruitment week, to learn more about the differences between our chapters!

Is joining DSP a financial commitment?

Members are required to pay an affordable fee every semester. This fee covers and supports the many events the Chapter hosts that members will benefit from, such as Professional events involving company recruiters and Social Events for fun :)

How many people can pledge each semester? (Is there a limited number of spots available to join DSP?)

Not at all! We do not have a limited number of spots. Our goal is to recruit high-achieving individuals who embody our values and are looking to contribute and be a part of our amazing community.
